Excellence in Digital Government Programme

 

The first area establishes the contours of digital transformation by navigating and dissecting the social and economic value induced by the adoption and proliferation of digital technologies. The second area focuses on mastering governance in the digital era by examining how government is impacted by digital technologies from administrative, sectoral and public service digitalisation perspectives. The third area focuses on a critical assessment of digital government strategies and the development of digital government capabilities.

 

With generous support from the Global Gateway initiative of the European Union, participation in this training programme is free of charge for selected applicants. This includes accommodation, meals, and other planned learning activities during the training. Participants or their organisations are responsible for covering their travel expenses to the venue, in Johannesburg, South Africa and visa costs, if necessary.

Delegates that have been selected to participate in this programme need to provide proof of flight bookings as well as medical insurance for their time in South Africa. We expect arrival of all delegates to be on Sunday 17 August and departure  on Friday 22 August in the evening. 

Sunday 17 August: Welcome Dinner function

18 August to  21 August: Hotel breakfast, snacks during the training, lunch & dinner

Friday 22 August: Hotel breakfast, morning snacks & lunch.

There will be excursions on Monday 18th & Wednesday 20th, each excursion will end with a dinner outside of the hotel. The rest of the dinners will be served at the hotel buffet restaurant.
